Ecuador

For the past month I have been trying to think of all of the "things" I need to pack. Clothes, flashlight, shoes, rain jacket, and a seeminging endless list of other "things". And of course there is the medicine. Each of us will be taking about 40 pounds of medicine. Oh, and the gifts. 18 T shirts, CD's, hats, Kitchen towel sets for those wonderful ladies who feed us, and a gift for the Pastor. Maybe I over prepared, because there is barely enough room for my clothes now.

Time's up. we board the bus for Atlanta in 2 hours, so if I don't have it, I guess I don't need it.

We are a group of people from First Baptist Church in Pelham going to Riobamba Ecuador to provide medical attention to people who may not otherwise be able to see a doctor. We are also going to help local Pastors who want to start a new church get their first members. They call it Church Planting. FBCP along with E3 Partners send out missionaries several times a year, and this year I am fortunate to be able to go with them.

I hope to be able to update this blog during the week, but Riobamba is a little bit remote, so we will see. Check back here from time to time to see if I am able to upload some pictures and maybe even a video. Also check Sams's website for blogs by our team leaders and other members of the the team.

I hope you all have a great Memorial Day weekend, I know I will.
